Website Privacy

When you register for the website, your information is added to the on-line members list and the member interest list. The lists are visible only to club members are logged-in to the website. The public cannot see the lists. The purpose of the lists is to help members contact each other to share information or arrange hikes, bike trips and other events.

Clicking a name on the lists allows you to view that member's profile.

If you do not wish to have your name on the lists, check the box labeled "Hide my info from the member list" when you register. If you are already registered and wish to remove your name from the lists, edit your profile:

  1. log in with your user name (or email address) and password
  2. place your mouse pointer on the menu tab labeled Members
  3. click Your Profile in the drop-down list
  4. click Update Your Profile at the top of your profile window
  5. click Contact Information
  6. check the box labeled "Hide my info from the member list"
  7. click Update at the bottom of the form.

We encourage you not to hide your name or profile. They are only visible to other members, not to the public.  Sharing your name, email address, telephone number and outdoor interests with other members helps to build a community.
