If a category is moderated, new topics and comments may not appear until they have been reviewed and approved by a person assigned as moderator. For example, a category where people could propose new hikes might be moderated. In this example the moderator might be an experienced club member who reviews the proposed route and the experience of the leader before approving the new topic. If a category is moderated, you can see who moderates it in the forum category index or at the bottom of the list of topics in a category. Contact the administrator to set up a moderated category.
