Post a message (a topic) in the Forum

Posting a new message in the forum is also called adding a new topic. Each new message can have replies and comments so it can become the "topic" of a conversation between forum members.

1. Log in to the website: on the home page of the website enter your user name (or email address) and your password in the login area. Click Login.

2. Put your mouse pointer over Forum on the menu and click one of the forum area names (Hike Updates, Bike Trip Updates, Wednesday Hikes) or, for other forum areas, click Index.

3. If you clicked Hike Updates, Bike Trip Updates, or Wednesday Hikes, skip this step. If you clicked Index, a list of all forum areas will open. Pick a forum area (called a Category) from the list and click it.  In this example, the club discussion category is about to be selected.

4.A window for the forum area (category) opens showing existing topics. Click on New Topic at the top or bottom of the list.

5. In the New Topic window, enter the subject, the text of your new message, and click submit.
