We are looking for new photos to use on the NSH website. It is time to change the background image and the images for the top banner. These should be mountain scenes and, for the banner, images that can be cropped wide. We would also like photos to illustrate club activities.

Janie Bergeron would like to find 8 people in the Vancouver area for a Wilderness first aid course given by Sirius Wilderness Medicine to be organized this spring. The cost is 450$ + tax. Spearhead Huts Project – Public Survey and a Fund Raiser
The Spearhead Huts Committee has just launched a public survey and invites everyone in the outdoor community to participate. The purpose of the survey is to gather information on use of the Spearhead/Fitzsimmons area and public opinions and preferences for the proposed huts.
BC Parks Volunteer Strategy Survey - by April 25th
Deadline for response extended to April 25th. Parks would like to hear from past, current and future volunteers to identify ways to improve the volunteer experience. Your feedback will inform the development of a revitalized volunteer strategy for BC Parks.
FMCBC submission to BC Parks on Garibaldi Management Plan
Attached is the position paper of the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC submitted to BC Parks on the issues covered by the current review process of the Garibaldi Park Master Plan.

West Vancouver Parks Master Plan: Call for Comments by March 16
The West Vancouver Parks Master Plan Working Group was asked by Council to deliver a policy document that sets a clear direction for the management, protection, enhancement and community engagement of West Vancouver’s parks, trails and natural areas, to meet both the immediate and long term needs for the next decade.
A full draft of the West Vancouver Parks Master Plan is now available. Maps are also available. If you'd like to provide feedback, please fill out a comment sheet and submit by March 16, 2012
